Rule 11
Facilities and concessions provided to foreign citizens of Nepali origin

(1) Subject to sub-rules (3) and (4), foreign nationals of Nepalese origin may purchase land or other immovable property in any one of the following areas for their residence in Nepal, not exceeding the following area:-
(a) Maximum two plantations within Kathmandu Valley,
(b) A maximum of eight districts within the municipal area of ​​Terai District (c) A maximum of four plantations within the municipal area of ​​districts other than clauses (a) and (b),
(d) not more than one vigaha within the village development committee area of ​​Terai district excluding clause (b), or
(e) A maximum of ten plantations in areas other than clauses (a), (b), (c) and (d).
(2) The provisions of sub-rule (1) shall not apply if a foreign citizen of Nepali origin has acquired any immovable property in Nepal as a Nepali citizen.
(3) In accordance with Section 10 and Sub-rule (1) of the Act, foreign citizens of Nepali origin who wish to purchase land or other property in Nepal should submit an application to the Secretary for approval to disclose the location, area and price of the land they wish to purchase in the name of themselves or their family. will fall.
(4) If an application is received in accordance with sub-rule (3), the secretary will examine it and grant approval for the purchase of land and other immovable property in Nepal in the name of the applicant or his family without prejudice to the Act and this regulation.
(5) After receiving the approval according to sub-rule (4), the relevant office that passes land registration shall pass the land registration in the name of the foreign citizen of Nepali origin or his family who wants to purchase land and other property under the Act and this regulation.
(6) A person who receives an identity card in accordance with the Act and this regulation shall not have to pay the visa fee regardless of what is written in the prevailing law.
(7) Regardless of what is written elsewhere in this regulation, the purchase of immovable property in accordance with the Act and this regulation shall not give rise to any other rights except those provided by the Act and this regulation.
(8) According to this regulation, when providing the land owner certificate of the immovable property, the relevant land office shall provide a blue color certificate.
